FAQs

24–48 Hours Before Your Appointment
Exfoliate: Use an oil-free, non-abrasive scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin cells and old tan.
Hair Removal: Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to allow pores to close, preventing dark, spotted spots.
Hydrate: Ensure your skin is well-hydrated in the days leading up to the appointment to prevent dry patches.

Day of the Appointment
Shower Cleanly: Take a warm shower to remove any lingering oils or products. Do not use heavy soaps, oils, or lotions.
No Products: Do not apply deodorant, perfume, body lotion, or makeup. These create a barrier and can cause discolouration.
Skin Prep: If you have exceptionally dry skin, you may apply a tiny amount of oil-free moisturizer to notoriously dry areas like knees or elbows, but it’s best to keep skin completely bare.

Loose Clothing: Wear loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing (such as a loose dress or sweatpants) to prevent the solution from rubbing off.
Footwear: Wear flip-flops or sandals.

Initial Rinse: Wait 8-12 hours for a standard tan or 1-3 hours for a rapid tan before rinsing. Use warm water only—no soap—until the water runs clear. The tan will continue to develop for 24 hours.
Hydration: Moisturize at least twice daily with an oil-free, non-mineral oil lotion to prevent patchy fading.
Avoid Moisture/Sweat: Avoid heavy sweating, swimming pools, hot tubs, and long showers, as these break down the tan.
Clothing: Wear loose, dark clothing immediately after the session and while sleeping to avoid rubbing the tan off.

What to Avoid
Exfoliation: Avoid harsh soaps, loofahs, scrubs, and AHA/BHA products.
Products: Avoid products with mineral oil, petroleum, or high alcohol content.
Skin Contact: Avoid skin-to-skin contact (e.g., crossing legs) during the initial development time.
